Looking For A Reel For An Old Rod

I have an old True Temper rod an I want to get a spincasting reel for it, but the feet on the Zebcos are a hint short. What brand has a longer foot? It must be at least 2.5 (the old ocean city bait caster) inches but 2.7 would be better.
