Largemouth On Jigs In November

by Steve

Largemouth Bass took by a jig.

Largemouth Bass took by a jig.

Started about 3:30 am. When I arrived my car shows 30 degrees in the parking lot.

So every 3-4 cast had to remove icy from the guides. Was cold!!!!!!!!!

Anyway, got 4 LMB's total: 2.5, 8.2, 8.8, 9.1 pounds.

Jason's Response:

Excellent job getting those bass to strike in freezing temperatures. Fishing the jig is one of the best ways to go. Awesome largemouth!

Is that the 9 pounder or one of the 8's in those pictures?

Castaic Lake

Castaic Lake huh. Yup, that helps to explain those big bass.

There have been about 5 line-class records that have come from there. Those bass seem to thrive from feeding on the steady supply of those hatchery raised trout that are stocked there.

Awesome largemouth bass you have there! Nice!
