Serial Number Location On 1967-1969 DAM Quick 550

Hello.

I've had an old DAM Quick 550 reel in storage for 25 years. I recently took it completely apart and cleaned all of the internal parts. (It was frozen solid.) It still had fingerprints on the flat brass arm inside the reel from the original person that assembled it years ago.

Anyway, the reel is smooth as silk now and ready to fish. However, I couldn't find a serial number and was just wondering if anyone knew where one might be located on the 550. It says "made in West Germany" on the bottom of the foot, and the number "1" is stamped in the middle of the foot as well.

I'd appreciate any input.

Thanks,
Jason R.

DAM Quick Reel Serialization
by: DAM Fool

I own virtually every model of DAM Quick Spinning reels ever made and nine of them are serialized. I have never seen or heard of them being serialized like Garcia Mitchell’s were for many years.

Hope this helps.
