Here are some of our delicious buttered fish sauce recipes that all contain butter as one of it's main ingredients.
These buttery fish sauces are easy to prepare, simple to make, and taste absolutely the best on your favorite fresh fish dish.
Your mouth may salivate and run like a fresh water spring once you fire up some of these ;-)
3 tablespoons butter
2 tablespoons fresh herbs, chopped
2 cloves garlic, minced
1 lemon, juiced
In a sauce pan over medium heat, add the lemon juice, garlic and herbs, and cook until it has reduced down to nearly dry. Remove the pan from the heat source and stir in the butter until thoroughly melted. Season with salt and a generous pinch of freshly ground black pepper. Pour the sauce over your freshly cooked fish and serve.
⅓ cup unsalted butter
⅓ cup hot pepper sauce
¼ teaspoon salt
2 tablespoons Lawrey's Hot Taco Seasoning
In a sauce pan over medium heat, add the butter, hot pepper sauce, hot taco seasoning, and a pinch of salt. Heat until the butter is completely melted and stirred together. Set the sauce aside and keep it warm until your ready to use it.
This spicey buttered sauce goes great as a dipping sauce, poured over fish fillets. or to coat fried fish. You can check out a slight variance of how we used this sauce with a buffalo fish recipe.
1 stick of unsalted butter
1 small shallot, chopped
2 tablespoons white wine vinegar
⅓ cup dry white wine
1 tablespoon heavy cream
1 teaspoon crushed white peppercorns
salt
In a medium saucepan over high heat, add the vinegar, wine, shallots, and pepper. Bring it to a boil and allow it to reduce to about 2 tablespoons. Add the cream and boil for an additional 2 minutes. Remove the sauce pan from the heat source and gradually whisk in small slices of the butter until thoroughly melted. Strain the sauce, season with salt, and serve.
This white butter sauce, also referred to as (my variation of) beurre blanc, is a great compliment for lean to moderately oily fish dish recipes.
1 stick of unsalted butter
1 lemon, juiced
¼ cup flat leaf parsley, chopped
Melt the butter in a medium saucepan over medium-high heat. After the butter melts, it will brown quickly. Once it browns, add the lemon juice and the parsley. Pour the butter sauce over your cooked fish.
1 stick of unsalted butter
1 tablespoon lime juice
3 cloves garlic
2 teaspoons grated ginger
dash of hot sauce
salt and pepper to taste
Combine all of the ingredients into a food processor, and process until it forms into a smooth paste.
This lime and ginger butter sauce is awesome when applied to the fish during the last 45-60 seconds of cooking the fish.
