Callista has been fishing with me since she was one month old in a baby backpack. I have made fishing a very fun and regular part of her life.


Callista caught her first steelhead on 06/29/2011 and she caught it on her favorite colors. She was using a pink corkie, with pink yarn, and a pink #2 Gamakatsu hook.

She was fishing a seam on the McKenzie River in Eugene, Oregon about 20 feet off the bank, then all of a sudden she swore she was SNAGGED AGAIN! The steelhead ran up and down the river a few times and did some air acrobatics before we landed her 10 minutes later by net.

Out of all the fishing trips in her 7 years so far, it is her favorite fishing memory to date.

WTG! My dad also took me fishing beginning when I was a month old. Alas, I only had my dad for 22 years; and I would give just about anything to be able to fish with him again. Cherish your time with Callista.
