Barkley Dam, Ky. Striper fishing from the rocks!!!

You gotta love it!

You gotta love it!

Have spent many wonderful years striper fishing below Barkley Dam in Ky. It is on the Cumberland river.

A lot of folks go out in the boat and pull the live shad or shiners through the current, but I have always loved fishing from the rocks. It's simple and easy. No fuss. Just your rod & reel and your favorite jig.

Gotta keep it down deep in the rocks, so you do hang up quite often, but then there's that time when you think for a split second that you're hung on a rock, and suddenly that rocks takes off like a ragin' bull!

I have good memories of fishing with family and friends off of those rocks, and there are memories still to be made. I haven't set any state records or anything like that.....yet:)....

Have lots of great memories there also. My dad would take us there and use the old do jigs. Lots of fun not knowing what you might get a hold of. We caught big white bass back then that fought like crazy in that current.

How is April for Striper and Hybrid?

Thanks
